About the Workplace

The unit for mother tongue teachers and study counselors currently has 20 employees who speak 18 different languages.

Organizationally, the unit is part of one of the municipal primary schools, Gröna Dalenskolan, and the head of the operation is also the principal of that school. The unit has an assistant principal who is also part of the school's management team.

Your Responsibilities

As a Finnish teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the applicable curriculum and syllabus for Finnish as a national minority language. You assess and document students' knowledge development and assign grades where applicable. The role also includes contact and collaboration with guardians. You will be part of a work team with about 20 mother tongue teachers and study counselors. Your employment is located at Gröna Dalenskolan, and teaching takes place at several different schools within Håbo municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teacher education and teaching license with qualifications in Finnish. Experience working in primary schools and teaching Finnish as a mother tongue is advantageous. Other documented teacher education or relevant pedagogical training may also be beneficial. The job requires you to be flexible, responsive, and have good collaboration skills, while also being able to plan and carry out your assignment independently.

We are looking for a licensed teacher in Finnish with good subject knowledge and a pedagogical approach that is based on the different needs and conditions of students. You have the ability to adapt teaching and create good learning environments for students of different ages. You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and school management.
